Anica Kiana
Anica Kiana is a South African singer and songwriter. Her musical career began at an early age, when she started covering songs by other artists and posting them to her social media. In 2019, she was signed to an agency and released her debut single Chasing soon after, which gained massive support from local radio stations and even made it onto the Top Charts. Shortly after, her career began to take off, grabbing the attention of many other local artists, such as twin pop duo Locnville and South Africa’s most renowned rapper, Nasty C.
After releasing her debut single Chasing, the rest was, as they say, history. Anica went on to release two more singles soon after — Talk (2019) and Electric (2020). Electric climbed the KFM Top 40 Charts, reaching Number 3, and went on to Heart FM’s Top 10 Charts, climbing all the way to the Number 1 spot.
In 2021, Anica signed with the Locnville Brothers’ label, CBGSv. She released Gotta Leave that year, featuring Nasty C, who praised her “voice of gold.”
In 2022, Anica's hit single Narc Boy gained popularity on radio, charting on KFM’s Top 40 with its catchy lyrics and relatable pop rhythm, solidifying her place in the South African music scene. At the end of 2022, Anica released her debut EP, Happily Never After.
In the summer of 2023, Anica released Your Touch — another chart climber on the KFM Top 40, which also featured on a few Apple Music Charts.
2024 was a standout year for Anica, marked by major milestones. She released Little Boy Ego and Kiss Me Hard, both of which made it to the KFM Top 40, with Kiss Me Hard also charting on 5FM’s Top 40 and clinching the #1 spot on their Pop Charts.
