Classical Jazz Pianist
Nicholas Williams is a Pianist, Bassist and composer from Cape Town, South Africa. He is an active member of the Cape Town jazz and popular music scene playing with various acts as a pianist, bassist. He is the leader of the Nick Williams Project for which he is the Pianist and composer and released his self-produced debut album “Light and Dark” in 2016.
He is also a founding member of the band Zingara featuring Italian singer Francesca Biancoli and drummer Kurt Diedericks. He has performed with South African artists Mark Fransman, Buddy Wells, Rus Nerwich, Kesivan Naaidoo, Louis Maholo, Kevin Gibson, Bokani Dyer, Reza Khota, Jonno Sweetman, Andile Yenana, Yonela Mnana, Lee Thomson, Gavin Minter, Claude Cozens, Keenan Ahrends, Mandla Mlangeni, Alvin and Errol Dyers and has performed with award winning artists Vicky Sampson, Beatenberg and Tresor.
He has performed all over South Africa and internationally in Belgium, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Democratic Republic of Congo. He also works as a composer, producer and session musician for various artists nationally and internationally.
