Lizwi Choir
The Lizwi Choir is a 24-member professional isiXhosa choral ensemble based in Khayelitsha, Cape Town. Founded on Freedom Day (27 April 2026) by former Thanda Choir members, Lizwe are a self-managed ensemble dedicated to their traditional roots.
Their members have extensive international touring experience, including performances in France and São Paulo. Recent projects include voiceover work music for Yussef Dayes, the Riot Games League of Legends Champion Theme, and a studio collaboration with Vumaala and Wyclef Jean.
